Obituary for Albert E. Passarini

Franklin – PASSARINI, Albert E., 77 (June 9, 1945 – July 29, 2022), of Franklin, MA. Al is survived by his beloved wife, Dianne (Elliott) Passarini of 41 years; his four children, Lisa Passarini, Joey Passarini, Billy Kerrissey and his wife Alyson, and Denese (Kerrissey) Rizza and her husband Scott; his six grandchildren Jordan and Alex Simon, Rhiannon Passarini, Gavin, Irelyn and Kathryn Kerrissey; brothers John Passarini and his wife Gloria, and Robert Passarini and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Dorina Passarini.

Al was a loving husband, a wonderful father, referred to by some as “Pops”, a doting “Puppa”, and an extremely kind and loving person. He loved nothing more than his family, his two dogs, Kody and Kailey, and his kind neighbors that always looked out for them. He was extremely loyal and a very hard worker. Al began his career as an auto mechanic, before specializing in appliances then with large machinery. He started working for “Sealtest” in 1968 as a “Machinist” working on large ice-cream producing machinery at the Framingham plant location. There was not a machine Al could not fix. He also held the position and responsibility of “Shop Steward” for many years, representing and defending the rights and interests of his fellow employees. He worked for “Sealtest” through the acquisition of Unilever, owners of Breyer’s and Good Humor ice-cream brands, until the plant was shut down in 2011. He retired after over 40 years of service. Al was also extremely competitive and had a great love for hockey and the Boston Bruins. In his little spare time, he was the Newton Youth Hockey head coach for many years at many levels.

Visiting hours will be held on August 5th, between 5-7pm, in the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, located at 15 Miller Street, Medfield, MA 02052. A small memorial service will be held immediately following. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
