Obituary for Anne Johnson (Lanahan)

Anne L. Johnson, a longtime Medfield resident, passed away in her sleep, in her Medfield home on February 16th, 2022.
Anne was born in Wheeling W.VA, and then made her home in Washington DC, where she briefly worked for the FBI. Soon thereafter, she met her husband to be William at a CYO dance. Shortly thereafter, they were married and began their family.
Bill and Anne moved to Medfield in 1965 when Bill took a position with Kraft Foods.
Anne was a stay-at-home Mom while her children were small. As they grew, she worked for Decelle’s and The Win Company.
Anne spent her time as an avid book reader, and card player. She could always be counted on for an afternoon of card playing or talking about the latest best seller. She was an active devout parishioner of St. Edwards Church as well.
She was lovingly cared for by Cheryl McDonough and Kathi Hamilton, to whom her family is extremely grateful.
Anne is survived by her sons Mark Johnson and his loving wife Chelie of Pinellas Park Florida, Stephen C. and his loving wife Karen (Carter) of Walpole, MA, and daughter Annemarie Kelley, of Mesa, AZ, and grandmother to Daniel Kelley of Tampa Florida, Sister of Mary Catherine Holland of Fulton MD. She is predeceased by her loving husband William G Johnson, to whom she was married to for 62 years.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for Anne on Friday, May 6, 2022, 10:00 AM at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring St., Medfield, MA 02052, followed by interment in the Columbarium at Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield.
