Obituary for Beverly Nichols

Beverly Louise Nichols, 82, of Medfield, MA, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Benchmark Memory Care in Norwood, MA.

She was the beloved wife of the late John Nichols. She leaves her son, Steven Nichols, daughter-in-law Angela Nichols; sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Charles Tupper; nieces, Kristine Nippert and Barbara Lynn Ingalls; nephew Robert Tupper; great nieces, Kathryn Nippert and Diane Ingalls; great nephews, Brian and Christopher Nippert, and Kevin and Scott Ingalls and many close friends.

Born and raised in Attleboro, the daughter of Robert and Louise Olson, she was a lifelong resident of Medfield.

Beverly Nichols graduated from Attleboro High School in 1954 and briefly attended the University of Massachusetts (1954 – 1955) and ultimately graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Boston University in 1958.

Following her student teaching, she was offered a full-time position with Countryside Elementary School in Newton Highlands, where she taught 4th grade until her son was born in 1970.
In her younger years, Beverly loved to travel and frequented such places as Japan, Europe, and many islands in the Caribbean. She found her love though in Aruba and would spend just about every Christmas holiday on the island. It allowed her to bask in the warmth of the sun and avoid the bitter New England winters.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18 at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home in Medfield, followed by burial at Gethsemane (The Gardens) in West Roxbury.
