Brian Robert Laska, 48, passed away following a brief illness at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center on August 30th with his loving family by his side.
Brian was born in Bridgeport, CT, was a graduate of Fairfield Prep and Stonehill College and started his career at Brigham and Woman’s Hospital. Soon after graduation, Brian entered the IT space and joined Onward Technologies, which became CSC and ultimately DXC Technologies. Most recently he left the corporate world and pursued his dream teaching and mentoring as a managing partner at 1st Round Academy.
Over the years Brian had many hobbies, making friends along the way. His core values were first emphasized as he achieved the Boy Scouts’ highest rank of Eagle Scout. Memberships and affiliations also include Fairfield Prep and Stonehill Rugby, Analytical Combat, Maple Gate Country Club and Hopkinton Sportsman Club. Brian was passionate about music, martial arts, firearms sports and safety, gunsmithing, hunting and outdoor activities, our furry friends, cooking and mentoring and helping others.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Kathy, are his parents, Bob and Marianne Laska of Milford, CT; his brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Carrie Laska of New Canaan, CT, and their children, Chloe and Bradley; his parents-in-law, Dave and Janet Wilson, of Brockton, MA; Joe Coakley, of Norwell MA; his beloved cats, Samsquanch (Sam) & Khaleesi; and many cousins.
Please join us for a Celebration of life on September 17, 2022 at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home in Medfield. There will be a short visitation for the public at 2 pm followed by a public remembrance of life where we welcome people to share a few words about Brian out loud or written. Following the event, the family invites everyone to continue to celebrate Brian’s life and passion at Napper Tandy’s Millis.
