Obituary for Carmela T Dastoli

Carmela Tesoniero Dastoli July 16, 1923 - January 11, 2022
It is our honor to celebrate the life of an extraordinary woman - our mother,
Carmela Tesoniero Dastoli. Born in Pittsfield MA, she grew up one of four children. She met the love of her life, Albert Carlo Dastoli. They married September 6, 1943 and celebrated 73 years together.
Together they raised nine children! The greatest gift to us beside their love and example was the gift of our brothers and sisters. Mom instilled in us a love for one another, family first and hard work. There were always family get togethers with laughter, music, and lots of food. The door to our home was always open to all. She loved having us around. She was the first one in the neighborhood to lend a helping hand or a listening ear to anyone needing her. She was generous to a fault with all she had. She was also a loving grandmother so proud of them all. She even opened her home to raise three of her grandchildren. She was the center of our family traditions and gatherings.
She had many friends and loved people. It was easy to fall in love with her. In later life and after her children were grown, she enjoyed time in Florida, learning to golf with Dad and playing cards.
She will be greatly missed. May God wrap His arms around you, Mom.
She is predeceased by her husband Albert, her grandson Michael Larcom and son-in- law Clay Larcom.
She is survived by her children: Anthony, Carmela and Edmond Courtemarche, Albert and Victor, Marianne and Peter Shea, Joeanne and Edward Forsberg, Joseph, Carolanne and Craig Boulais, Carl and Francesca, and Inez and Billy May, 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.”
There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
