Obituary for Christopher Bell

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our son, brother, and uncle, Christopher Mathew Bell. Chris, a Corrections Officer and life-long resident off Millis, MA, died unexpectedly from a heart attack on Tuesday, January, 29th at the age of 42. Chris is survived by his parents, Sandra and Andrew Bell of Millis, MA, his brother Michael Bell and his wife Cheryl Englehardt of North Andover, MA, his sister Amanda Regan and her husband Michael Regan of Medway, MA, and his cherished nieces and nephew, Emma, Ava, and Nolan Regan.

Chris was born on October, 24th 1976 in Stanford, CA and grew up in Millis, MA. He attended Millis High School, and attained his associates degree in Criminology and worked as a corrections officer at MCI Cedar Junction in South Walpole, MA. Chris had always had an interest in civil service and criminal justice, to be able to help others and serve and protect in his community.

Chris was a lover of all things big and small. He loved animals, especially his dog Cooper, whom he would take on hikes at the Ashland State Reservoir. He loved fishing, cooking, grilling, playing the guitar, and earlier in his life playing the drums. Most of all, the light of Chris’ life was spending time with his nieces and nephew. Whether he spent time with them at the house, taking them to the movies, sneaking them candy, or just being there to watch them grow. Chris wanted to share his love of life with all close to him by sharing what he loved most, sharing himself selflessly.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, February 5th from 10am to 12pm at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St, Medfield. A Memorial Service will be held directly afterwards at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Chris’s name may be made to: Medfield Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 271, Medfield, MA 02052
