Obituary

On Thursday, October 17 2019, Christopher James Hersee, passed away at the age of 52. For the past year, Chris had been battling Leukemia. He had undergone a bone marrow transplant this past winter. Sadly, pneumonia ended his days.

He was the son of Robert and Claire Hersee, of Medfield MA. He leaves behind, his mother, Claire of Medfield; his brother Wally Hersee, and his wife Mary of Sturbridge, MA; his sister, Patricia Hersee of Charlton, MA; his brother Kirk Hersee and his wife Fran of Milford, MA, and his sister, Renee Hersee, and her partner, Sean Nelligan, both of Medfield, MA. He also leaves behind his nephew Matthew Hersee, and his wife Erica, nieces Micaela Eagan, Christine Scricco, Jennifer Rose, Sarah Hersee, Jessica Morris and Kailee Morris. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, and his sister Heidi-Anne, both of Medfield, MA. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Christopher James Hersee (Chris, C.J.) was born on July 27th, 1967. He grew up in Medfield, MA but resided in the town of Blackstone MA for the past 20 years. Chris graduated from Tri-County Regional Vocational Technical High School as a member of the class of 1985. He followed his ambition to be a master welder and metal fabricator, and was very successful. He was a graduate of ITT Tech where he studied automotive repair after-which he specialized in BMW repair and maintenance.

Chris single-handedly built a 50-foot yacht for a local entrepreneur. When he wasn’t busy running his business, Chris‘ Custom Welding, you could find him hunting, enjoying winter sports, motorcycling or spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed the great woods of Maine and was planning his future on his land up north.

Chris will be remembered by his friends and family as he touched many lives with his humor, generosity, and skills, which he was always willing to share.

There will be a wake for family and friends on Friday, October 25, 2019 from
12-2pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm, both of which will be held at the
Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, MEDFIELD, MA.
