HUTCHINS, Claire E. [Aylward] of Blackstone, died peacefully at age 82, on Friday, February 4, 2022. Daughter of the late Mary E. (Mullen) and Thomas L. of Medfield, Claire was born in Boston in 1939, and lived in Wrentham, Medfield, Bellingham, Norfolk and Blackstone during her lifetime. She was a proud graduate of Medfield High School and a former student at Dean College in Franklin. She is survived by her daughter Jean M. (Hutchins) Kates of Bellingham, a son, Jim D. Hutchins of Olympia, Washington, two grandchildren: Alex and Ashley Kates of Bellingham and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Judith A. Hutchins and eight sisters and brothers: Mary F. Sweeney, Dorothy L. Aylward, Charles T. Aylward, Elizabeth A. Heuklom, Virginia T. Leon, Helen M. Matthews, Thomas L. Aylward, Jr., and Catherine J. Stewart. A memorial service will be celebrated at St. Jude’s Church, 86 Main Street, Norfolk, MA 02056 at 11:30 a.m. in the morning, on Friday, February 11th, followed by burial at Norfolk Cemetery, Norfolk, MA. Visiting hours will be the two hours preceding the service 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St. Medfield, MA 02052.
