David Joseph Foulsham, 84, of Naples, FL and Medfield, MA, passed away suddently Sunday, February 3, 2019. He had been a seasonal resident of Naples for many years before becoming a resident in 2008. He was born March 13, 1934 in Dorchester, MA, the son of Robert W. and Margaret C. (née Buckley) Foulsham.
David was born and raised in Dorchester, MA with his four brothers.
He attended Burdett College and graduated from Northeastern University with Honors, where he obtained a Bacherlor's degree. After graduation, he volunteered for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to support his beloved country. Upon return, he worked for General Electric in the Industrial Sales Department for 45 years.
When he married Barbara in 1969, they moved to Medfield, MA to start their family.
David would often volunteer for town activities and participate in events that supported the growth of their community. His passion was dedicating time to the Medfield Senior Center and especially liked being the bartender at their Wednesday night dinners. Family was the most important thing to him and he always enjoyed spending time with his children and two granddaughters.
Mr. Foulsham is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara M. (née Thompson) Foulsham; his beloved children, David J. Foulsham Jr. of Waltham, MA and Jennifer (Rich) Manganiello of Ridgefield, CT; his brother, Paul (Jane) Foulsham of Quincy, MA; and two cherished grandchildren, Brooke and Ava.
Calling hours will take place at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., Medfield, MA 02052 on Sunday, February 10, 2019, from 1-4. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 11th, 2019, at 10 a.m., Saint Edwards Catholic Church, Route 27. Burial will follow at Vine Lake Cemetery..
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Medfield Council on Aging-Senior Center.
