Of Medfield, and previously of Holliston and Norwood, passed away at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, on Thursday, February 24, 2022 after a prolonged illness. He was the son of the late David A. and Dorothy J. (Golden) Murphy and the brother of 3 sisters, Carol Purtell and her husband James of Milford, Dorothy Parmenter and her husband Fred of Medfield, and Kathleen Hobbs and her husband Steve of Holliston, and the proud uncle of Elizabeth Hobbs, also of Holliston. Also surviving David are Aunts, Uncles, and many Cousins. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for David at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring St., Medfield, MA 02052, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 11:30 AM. Visiting hours will precede Mass at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., Medfield, MA 02052, from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
