Obituary for Gael Ann Shaughnessy
Gael A. Shaughnessy, 63, of Medway, MA passed away unexpectedly on May 5th 2020 in the presence of her 2 sons. Gael was born in Boston, MA on October 13, 1956 and was raised in West Roxbury, MA. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul W Shaughnessy.
Gael is survived by her two loving sons, Paul Shaughnessy and his wife Samantha of Wrentham, MA and Darren Shaughnessy of Medway, MA. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Aiden and Sofia Shaughnessy of Wrentham, MA. As well as her extended family and many friends.
Gael was a devoted mother, grandmother, nurse, and friend. She was a nurse at the Hebrew Rehab Center for 30 plus years and most recently at Medway Country Manor. She devoted her life to caring for others.
She spent her free time with her family, loving the sun and outdoors, helping to raise her grandchildren and caring for her dogs and cat. She was our hero, the strongest person we have even known, and could never be replaced. She will be greatly missed by all. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
