Gerald “Jerry” C. Lake, age 79 of Marshfield passed away on Monday March 29, 2021 after a brief and hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jerry was born in Chelsea on September 1, 1941 to Thomas and Dorothy Lake. He was a talented athlete at Walpole High where he began his life long avid love of Golf as he became the Assistant Professional at Blue Hills Country Club.
Jerry was employed as a framer and a finish carpenter and soon became a well known builder in the Metrowest area.
In 1960, He met his one true love, Catherine A. Lake married for 55 years and they would raise their two daughters, Kimberly and Kelly in Medfield. As a family they enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, snowmobiling and training Labrador Retrievers.
After retiring, Jerry enjoyed playing pool, wintering in Florida, living by the ocean and continued playing golf, holding jobs at many of the local South Shore golf courses. He strived to be the best at whatever he was doing at the time and made friends instantly wherever he went.
He is survived by his wife Catherine, daughter Kelly Innello and her husband Joseph. Brother Michael Lake and his wife Donna, sister Linda Audette and her husband Rob. Jerry was most proud of his grandchildren Michaela Lake, Joe Degerolamo, Anthony and Gia Innello. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Dominic and Jameson. He was predeceased by daughter Kimberly Degerolamo.
Visiting hours will be Friday April 9th from 4-7 at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso FH, 15 Miller St, Medfield. Burial will be at a later date.
