Obituary for Jacquiline "Jackie" Iafolla
Jackie Iafolla passed away on July 10, 2022. At 82 years old, she was a lifelong resident of Medfield.
Jackie was born to her mother, Mae Iafolla, on July 13, 1939 and is survived by her cousin, Janet Mezzanotte of Medfield, and a number of second cousins. She lived at Tilden Village for many years and became heavily involved in community activities such as helping make decorations each year for the all-night high school graduation party. She was also significantly involved in the Medfield Senior Center for a number of years, being a notable participant in all of the events and supporting its efforts including flyer distribution throughout the downtown area. One of her favorite places to go was the Medfield Library. As an avid reader, she would sometimes take bags of books out at a time and consume all of them. She was known for her walking route throughout town. Even at advancing age, she was in amazing shape, walking miles every day to handle her shopping needs.
Jackie loved animals and especially dogs. She seemed to know all of the dogs in town and they seemed to know her. Most endearing was Jackie’s consistent effort to reach out to family members on special days with phone calls or cards, demonstrating her real love for family.
Visiting hours will be held Monday July 18th at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home from 9-11 followed by vigil prayers at 11. Burial to follow at Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield.
