Janet Anna Paterson Carreiro
We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of our mother Janet
Anna Paterson Carreiro on May 2, 2023. Mom was born in York, Maine on July 5,
1944, and was the youngest of 6 children.
She met her husband and love of her life when she was 18 years old. They moved
to Medfield in 1968 where she was a resident for 55 years. After the death of her
husband Edward John Carreiro Sr in 1982 she was determined to raise her 5
children in a strong and caring environment. She loved her family, animals,
nature, and crafting.
She was a devoted and proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She
was predeceased by; husband Edward John Carreiro Sr, parents Lorenzo
Alexander Paterson and Johanna Maria Van Edan, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. She is
survived by her five children: Edward John Carreiro Jr., Cynthia Leah Deschenes,
Yvonne Silvia Anderson, Heather Lee Carreiro, Jay Leo Carreiro, 12 grandchildren
and 6 great grandchildren.
All are welcome to attend visiting hours on Thursday May 11th from 9:30 to 11:30 followed by a prayer service at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller Street, Medfield. Burial to follow at Vine Lake Cemetery.
