Obituary for Janice Marie Curry (Morey)
Janice Marie Curry 84, died on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, in Medfield Massachusetts. Janice passed suddenly at home.
Janice was proud of her independence, living on her own as a widow for 25 years. She was active socially with a strong group of close friends in Medfield. Janice loved visiting with her children and grandchildren and was always up for traveling when given the opportunity.
Janice worked until she was 80 years old. For more than 20 years she was employed by Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, most recently in the position of receptionist at the Norwood office. She was well liked by all and loved her job.
Janice was the beloved wife of the late Francis X. Curry and the daughter of the late William F. and Ruth V. (Duffy) Morey. She was the devoted mother of Marianne Buehler and husband Robert of Sandwich; Carolyn Brennan and husband Robert of Pleasantville, NY; Jeannine Rackliff and husband Ross of Medway; and John F. Curry and wife Susie also of Medway. Janice was also the proud grandmother of Michael Buehler and his wife Veronique; Rob, Katherine and Corey Brennan; Colby and Evan Rackliff; and Samantha Curry. She is survived by her brother William F. “Billy” Morey, and was predeceased by her sisters Dorothy Morey and Beverly Novotney.
Visiting hours will be at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St. Medfield, MA 02052, on Sunday, January 12, 2020 from 3 to 6PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring St. Medfield, MA 02052 on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 10 AM followed by burial at Vine Lake Cemetery of Medfield. A celebration of life repast will be held following the burial.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, a charity dear to her heart since the death of her husband Francis.
