Obituary for Joanne M Brodeur

Joanne M. (Mendoza) Brodeur died peacefully Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at the Thomas Upham House surrounded by her loving family. She was 87.
Daughter of the late Maurice and Lucy (Kelly) Mendoza, she was raised and educated in Millis, Massachusetts.
Joanne enjoyed reading, gardening, knitting, and spending time with her family. She mastered the art of the grilled-cheese sandwich and made the best apple pie in New England, serving them to her lucky visitors with a side of love and sarcastic wit.
She was employed as a Coordinator for The Catholic Charities for many years and made meaningful connections with the elderly people she served. The people she served through The Catholic Charities received not only her professional services, but Joanneā€™s warmth, generosity, time, attention, and humor.
Joanne was the wife of the late Ernest Brodeur; mother of Michele Mosher and her spouse Charles of Millis; Thomas Brodeur of Franklin; Mark Brodeur and his spouse John of N. Hampton, NH, John Brodeur and his spouse Anna of Durham, NC; and Christopher Brodeur and his spouse Kristin of Medway. Sister of the late Walter Mendoza. Joanne is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Michael Mosher and his spouse Stephanie of Franklin; Gregory Mosher and his spouse Tina of San Diego, CA; David and his partner Yolanda of Phoenix, AZ; Callie and Jack Brodeur of Durham, NC; and Julia Brodeur of Medway; and 5 great grandchildren: Ashley and Justin Mosher of Franklin; Lyla and Wes Mosher of San Diego; and Reef Moises Brodeur of Phoenix, AZ.
