Obituary for Josephine Peiler

Josephine “Jay” Peiler, of Millis, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 12, 2023, after a brief illness. She was just shy of her 103rd Birthday. Josephine was born in Needham Ma, to Agustinas and Mare (Valukiewicz) Glaniauskas. She was a twin and was part of the first US born generation of her Lithuanian heritage. She was sadly preceded in death by the love of her life of over 55 years, Adolph Peiler. Her sister Marion “Pinky” Saxton, Son-in-Law Joseph Savignano Jr., and Daughter-in-Law Virginia Peiler. She leaves behind her Son Ronald Peiler and Daughter Janet Savignano both of Millis. Her two Granddaughters, Victoria Peiler of Millis, and Amanda Savignano and husband Titus Phile of Virginia, and 2 great grandchildren Paislee and Korbin of Virginia. Josephine also leaves behind her Niece Maureen Bennett of Virginia of whom she fondly thought.
Josephine retired after a long career with Corning in Medfield, MA as well as RCA in Needham. She enjoyed many hobbies over the years such as cross stitching, reading, cooking, and adventures with her husband and close friends. Saturday mornings were the highlight of the week, as she loved to attend yard sales with family. Josephine loved her family, and her cats and all animals. Over the years she had many pets. She was also a proud supporter of all her local New England Sports teams. Josephine made sure no one ever left her house without being showered with food and love.
