Of Norfolk and previously of Medfield and Cranston RI, passed away peacefully at the age of 78 years old. Raised in Cranston, Rhode Island by Owen and Dorothy Clarkin, Lenny is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary (Casey) Clarkin his sons Marc and Tim of Providence, RI. Sadly, he was pre-deceased by his son Michael.
Leonard worked as a practicing attorney for over 40 years including starting the firm Clarkin & Phillips P.C. in Wellesley, MA. He was a graduate of Lasalle Academy in Providence in 1961, Providence College in 1965 and Suffolk Law School in 1969.
He spent 45 years living in Medfield, MA where he coached youth hockey for fifteen years at every level. Leonard also loved playing hockey and golf, supporting the Providence College Friars and Montreal Canadiens, and spending time with his family and many friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring St., Medfield, MA 02052, on Friday, June 10, 2022, 10:00 AM followed immediately by interment at Vine Lake Cemetery, Medfield. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening, June 9, 2022, 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 miller St., Medfield, MA 02052
