Obituary for Louis J. "Lou" Fellini

Louis J. Fellini, 88 yrs old, long time resident of Medfield MA died Feb. 1, 2021 after a short illness. He leaves behind his wife, Joan, of 64 years. He is survived by their three children, Louis (Chip) Fellini, Laura and her husband Ed Russell, and Peter and his wife Laura Fellini. Lou also leaves behind four grandchildren, their spouses and three great granddaughters - LCDR Jacob Russell, wife Katy and great granddaughters Julia, Avery, & Haley; Nathan Russell and wife Hanieh; Michele Russell and wife Alyssa; and Michael Fellini and wife Abby. Louis was the son of Louis and Celidia Fellini, brother to Jacqueline Campen and Donald Fellini all predeceased.
Lou is a 1950 graduate of Rockland High School and 1954 graduate of Stonehill College. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy during the Korean War. A longtime employee of IBM, Waltham as a Systems Engineer. He was instrumental in the building of the Center at Medfield as well as the Highway Department and Public Safety buildings, all of Medfield. He was chairman of the Council on Aging and dedicated his retirement years to the Medfield Senior Center and his wife. He enjoyed flying and doing all kinds of things with wood from making furniture to helping with additions on houses to carving figurines including teaching wood carving at the Center. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 o’clock AM, on Tues., Feb. 9, 2021, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring St., Medfield, MA 02052, followed immediately by interment in Vine Lake Cemetery of Medfield. Visiting hours will be the evening before, from 3:00 o’clock PM until 6:00 o’clock PM at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., Medfield, MA 02052.
All guests are required to wear face coverings and are asked to observe the current social distancing guidelines.
