He was very proud of his Albanian heritage as his parents were Albanian immigrants, and he travelled to Albania several times to visit relatives. Louis loved his home in Dover. He enjoyed doing yardwork, gardening, doing home repairs, and floating in his pool in the summers. His most favorite pastimes were sitting on the back porch in the summer watching the birds at the birdfeeders, and in the winters, sitting in his family room by the fireplace. He loved fireplace season. Louis also had a passion for old classic cars which he bought and fixed up when he was younger. He was an avid Boston sports fan, and followed them all, but especially liked the Bruins. He was also a big fan of Western movies starring John Wayne, as well as old classic movies, with his favorite being Casablanca.
A longtime Dover resident, Louis was also active in the community. He enjoyed attending local social events, coffee hours, and exchanging stories of the good old days. He was a member of the Dover COA, and was a big supporter of the Dover Police Department.
