Paul R. Knowles died suddenly on May 2, 2019 at his home. He was 66 years old. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Looper) Knowles and son of the late George and Marion (Kopp) Knowles. Paul leaves behind his 4 daughters Christina Knowles, Stephanie Finley and her husband Jesse, Michelle Carrico and her husband Franklin and Heather Kanabay and her husband Michael. He was also the proud grandfather of William Paul, Claire, Norah, Connor and Austin. He had many brothers and sisters: the late Barbara Ball, Ralph Knowles, the late Marie Gandolfi, the late George Knowles, the late H. James Knowles, Richard Knowles, Patricia Lubold, Lorraine Dauley, and Janice Meagher.

Paul was an avid outdoorsman and was happiest hunting with his dog, fishing on his boat down the Cape, woodworking, gardening, cooking meals for others, making others laugh with his newest inventions, and being with his family.

We are saddened by the news of Paul's passing. As members of the Norfolk Trout Club, we were able to spend time with Paul and enjoyed our time together. Paul was always ready to help out, whether organizing games and pony rides at the Father's Day picnic, working at clean up day or lending a hand whenever something needed to get done. Paul was very kind to our family and will be fondly remembered. Our condolences go out to Terry and the entire Knowles family. - Linda and Rich Horan

I was very sad to hear about Paul's passing. He was very nice to me and to my kids, especially my son William when he was young. I still recall Paul taking WIlliam for a ride on his lap in his backhoe out at the Trout Cub. Paul's sense of humor will be missed, there was never a dull moment when Paul was around. My condolences to Theresa and Paul's daughters.

Very saddened by Paul's passing. I got to know him this past year at the Upland Game Club. He was very generous in sharing his many interests. We had a great day making delicious Italian sausage a few months ago. He had all the spices, the recipes, the casings, the machine....he even had pork from his own pigs! I am sorry I didn't get the opportunity to know him longer. Rest in peace Paul.

Dear knowles family, we were so sad to hear the news of Pauls passing. He was a wonderful man and gave so much of himself to others. He was very good to our father, Gerald Palmer who knew him for many years at the Norfolk Trout Club. They had many laughs together. After my father's stroke in 2010 , Paul came to my father's home and built a ramp so that my father could get his wheelchair in and out of the house. My mother and our family were so thankful for Paul for building that ramp for our dad and is still there today. I remember our father talking so fondly of him. One day after Paul visited my father in his nursing home, my father turned to me and started to cry and said " I love that guy, he's like a son to me, and has brought so much happiness to me whenever I'm with him, he makes me laugh". Rest in peace Paul and may God bless you. Love All the Palmers!
