He loved his home country Albania and was an avid admirer of nature and the beautiful Albanian coastline. He spent most of his free time listening to music, taking trips to the sea and enjoying the scenery that gave him peace and joy.

Pullumb is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Polikseni (Neni), his only daughter Linda Gjerasi of Medfield and her husband Piro, his grandchildren Alex and Anna whom he loved more than anything. He is also survived by his brother Telha Shehu of Tirana, Albania, many nieces and nephews, cousins and relatives that loved him dearly.
