Obituary for Robert Thomas Norton
Of Medfield, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 13, 2022. He was 89 years old.
Born in Dorchester, MA to the late John J. and Margaret L. (Lucas) Norton on October 9, 1932.
Robert completed High School and then distinguished himself with service to his country.
Robert enlisted into the U.S. Airforce on November 21, 1952 and became an Aircraft Mechanic stationed in Occupied Germany. Completing his tour, he was honorably discharged on September 6, 1956.
Shortly after his marriage, he and his bride, Anna B. (Bailey) moved to Medfield and started on their family. They were regular communicants at St. Edward then Confessor Parish, and Robert was a member of the American Legion, Beckwith Post 110.
As well as Anna, Robert leaves behind his children Peggy Ekman and her husband Karl of Brewster, John Norton and his wife Lisa of Pennsylvania, Tom Norton and his wife Ann of Holliston, and Kathleen Houghton and her husband Tom of Taunton. He is also survived by 8 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.
A brief visitation will be held at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St., Medfield, MA 02052, on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 9:00 AM and a Service beginning at 10 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment at Vine Lake Cemetery will follow immediately.
