(Stephanie) Robin Warren Robin, born August 11, 1961 in Columbia, South Carolina, passed away on April 22, 2019 at the age of 57 after a difficult battle with esophageal cancer. She will be sorely missed by her family and innumerable friends.
She is survived by her parents C. Thomas and Margaret Warren of Medfield, brothers Chuck Warren of Ashland and Chris Warren (Mia Humphrey) of Medway and sister Kim Warren Wersal (Jim) of Montrose, CO, former sister-in-law Diane Warren and niece and nephew Rachel and Andrew Warren of Derry, NH, niece Jasmine Duff (Jon) of Barrington, NH, and long-time boyfriend Joe Sabbag of Millis, dear friend Kelly Good of Akron, OH and Nancy Madigan of Bellingham, all of whom spent many hours watching over her and helping her family in Robin’s final days.
While born in South Carolina, Robin moved to Medfield with her family at the age of 10, and has been very much a Medfield girl all these years. She graduated from Medfield High School in1979, then briefly attended Worcester State College before an accident left her legally blind. During high school she worked at Friendly’s, later at Will’s, Cumberland Farms, Potpourri, and other businesses around town. Many Medfield residents will know her as their favorite cashier at Shaw’s where she has worked for the last 12 years and was much-loved for her unfailing sense of humor (she never met a joke she couldn’t remember FOREVER and wasn’t more than happy to share), her cheerful smile, her eagerness to make sure everyone got the best deal possible and her willingness to use candy to bribe unruly children into good behavior. Robin made friends wherever she went. She had an amazing ability to find common ground with ANYONE she met. She was generous, brave, positive, smart, and very funny. She would give you the shirt off her back, and would fight like a tiger for those she loved and anyone who was an underdog. She loved music and socializing with her friends; she was artistic and loved collecting beautiful things. The world is a little duller place without her bright spark. We will miss her terribly.
A celebration of life is planned for June 15th at 6pm at the Bogastow club, Ridge St., Millis, MA.

I love Robin. From the day I met her at Friendlys in Medfield in 1992.
I was waitressing and she came in for a fribble. She told some jokes and visited with other customers while I waited on her.
I was getting off my shift at the same time she was leaving and I asked her for a ride. She said sorry I don’t drive, I’m walking. So we walked home together and never looked back.
We had so many wonderful years together.
On any given day I use to call her when the microwave was beeping.
On her visits to Ohio her routine was to get up, put a cup of cream, sugar and a splash of coffee into the microwave to heat up to boiling and then promptly get side tracked and forget about it.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
I’d yell hey Robin do you still want this coffee?
She’d get it out, take a tiny sip and make a face, Yuck it’s cold and we would start it all over again🤗
I’m really not sure if she ever even drank more than that one cup reheated over and over again all day with just little splashes of more cream and sugar added now and again 🤔
I do know no matter where I am and I hear a beeping microwave I think of her and laugh.

Robin was always a site for sore eyes when I shopped at Shaw's, especially with my special-needs son, who she called Balloon Man, because we bought a balloon on every visit. We would always seek out her checkout aisle. She was a lovely person, so thoughtful and funny. I always enjoyed our talks. I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope with time that your memories will be sweet rather than sorrowful. Lisa Akcay
