Suzanne “Sue” E. (Kennedy) Munroe, of Medfield, passed away peacefully on May 22 surrounded by loved ones. She was 82 years old. Born and raised in Medfield, she graduated from Medfield High School in 1954 and resided there for most of her life. She is predeceased by her husband, Charles Munroe Jr., and her later in life companion, Blanchard Warren.

Sue lived a long and full life and will be greatly missed by her family, including her children and their families: Patricia and her husband Mark Walker (Franklin, MA), Laurie and her husband Dave Benton (Falmouth, MA), Carol Zimmer (Huntington, NY) and Ken Munroe (Port Chester, NY). She was the cherished grandmother of Stephanie Slifer (Greenwich, CT), Kelly Benton (Jacksonville, FL), Katie Benton (New York, NY), Andrew Benton (Falmouth, MA), Laurel Kasindorf (Hauppauge, NY) and Carly Zimmer (Huntington, NY).

Sue is also survived by her loving sister Barbara O’Malley and her husband James (Mike), brothers John Kennedy and Robert Kennedy and his wife Amelia (Millie), all residing in Medfield, and many nieces and nephews.

Sue enjoyed spending her days surrounded by her family and friends. She was active at the senior center, loved to travel and was an avid card player. Sue also enjoyed spending time in Falmouth, MA with her family and her family loved spending time with her there too. Sue always had a smile on her face and that smile will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Friends and family are invited for visiting at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St on Tuesday evening, May 28th from 4pm to 8pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring St, on Wednesday morning, May 29th at 10 am, followed by burial at Vine Lake Cemetery.

So many of my younger years spent at the Munroe Family home and many memories of Mrs. Munroe, always sweet, kind and hard working. My heart breaks for each of you right now ! May you find peace and comfort in your memories and one another.

I was very sad to read of Sue's passing. She was a beautiful and loving person who was generous and patient with my father Blanchard Warren. I am grateful to have had the pleasure of having her in our lives. Godspeed Sue. God will take care of your family.
