We are sad to announce the passing of Dr. Theodore Lawrence Iorio of Millis Massachusetts, son of Edward and Genevieve.
Dr. Iorio died at age 84 on March 23, 2023. Ted passed away surrounded by loved ones at his Apple Knoll Farm estate. He leaves behind his wife, Dorothy, and children, Adrienne and Noll, Laura, Elizabeth, Theodore and Kimberly, Matthew and Jessica. Ted was the proud grandfather of Max, Eli, Trevor, Kiley, Charlie, Taylor, Aiden, Declan, and Rhedyn.
In addition to being a devoted father, Dr. Iorio was a brilliant academic and pioneer in the field of pharmaceuticals. He received a BS and DSc. from MCPHS University, a MS from Northeastern University, and an MBA from Seton Hall University. Dr. Iorio was a founder of Copley Pharmaceutical and Tedor Pharma. He was the generous benefactor of many great causes including his alma mater, MCPHS, where a building is named in his honor. He was Trustee Emeritus at both Cushing Academy and MCPHS University. Dr. Iorio also supported the Women’s Olympic Hockey Team through his building of a training facility at the Iorio Arena.
The vigil will be held at Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home in Millis MA on Tuesday April 4 from 4-8 PM. Ted's funeral Mass will be Wednesday, April 5, 2023, 12pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 111 Exchange St. Burial to follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery.

An additional memorial service to celebrate Theodore's life will be announced at a later date.
