Vincent “Vin” Thomas Gamble, 76 of Bellingham, died at his home on Saturday, November 7th, 2020.
Vin was born and raised in Newton where he later graduated from Newton High School in 1961. He was the son of the late Vincent T. and Estelle (Sokol) Gamble.

To the entire Gamble family, my sincerest condolences. Your father was always good to me. From my younger days riding my dirt bikes in his back yard to his loyalty in doing business with me over the years. He was someone I always enjoyed running into around town and you always left each encounter with a smile. Best wishes to all of you in this time of grief. Myles.

To Phyllis & the entire Gamble family, my most heart felt condolences to you all. I haven't seen Vinnie, Phyllis or Linda for many years, but I do remember all of the good times we had when were young, too many to mention! RIP funny man!

It would be nearly impossible not to LOVE both Vin and Phyllis. Covid is keeping me from the funeral. Vin's stories are all classics: going to the horse track with a tip (underage) winning big, giving his mother $100.00 --"buy yourself a new dress"-then back in the cab--NEW YORK, my man--to chucking a teenage ruffian over a car in front of the Newton Centre pizza joint for being disrespectful to an elderly couple-then being awake until the paper was delivered the next day to see if there was a report of a teenager being killed in front of the pizza place. Vin had a way of making everyone he came in contact with to feel special-no matter their age. I will always love the guy. Tom and Catherine Lyons
