Obituary for Virginia Sherrick (Speranzo)
Virginia A. Sherrick, “Ginny”, of Franklin and formerly Millis, died on March 4, 2023 at the age of 87. She was raised in Quincy and the youngest of six children.
Ginny was a retired Traffic Supervisor for the Weymouth Police Department and later a receptionist for KONE Elevator in Braintree. Over the years she enjoyed many trips to Aruba and realized her wish to visit Italy. A loyal Celtics fan proud to wear “the green”. She loved a good poker game, bingo and word search puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Beloved wife of the late Warren F. Sherrick, Jr., of Bridgewater and the companion of the late Carmine Fabbo of Bridgewater. Loving mother of Steven M. Sherrick, Sr. of Bridgewater and his wife Robin and Kathleen D. Andrews of Millis and her husband David. Also survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A special thanks to the wonderful staff and friends at Benchmark, Forge Hill Assisted Living who enriched her life over the past few years. She truly loved being a part of this community.
Burial will be held at a later date at the Village Cemetery, Washington Street, Weymouth.
