Obituary for William Donovan
Donovan, William "Bill" of Norfolk, formerly of Medfield, passed away on April 2 at age 84 after a long illness. Beloved husband of Helen (Shepherd) Donovan. Loving father of James, Timothy, Thomas, Michael, and Robert Donovan. Caring grandfather of Sara, Meghan, Gracie, Nate, Cole, Lila, Thomas, Billy, and Sammy Donovan. Devoted son of the late William Donovan and Anna (Reardon) Donovan. Cherished brother of Mary Czeluszniak and uncle to Anne (Czelusniak) Johnson and Allen Czelusniak. Also survived by many loving friends and former colleagues.
After graduating from Swampscott MA High School and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute NY as an electrical engineer, Bill served as an engineering manager for over four decades at GTE Government Systems and other local technology firms before retiring in the 1990s. After retiring, Bill spent many years enjoying family, travel, kayaking, golf and watching sports.
A Graveside service will be held on Saturday April 16th at 12 in Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield MA. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving to the Salvation Army www.salvationarmyusa.org.
