Lois Lamb
Lois Eardley Lamb of Medfield, wife of John N. Lamb, died peacefully March 8 at Walpole Health Care (the former Harrington House) Walpole, MA.
Lois was born in Pittsburgh, PA. in 1924, daughter of John D. Eardley and Nell (Poole) Eardley. She attended the University of Pittsburgh in 1942, majoring in geological studies, also taking silver jewelry making. She met John Lamb at a USO dance during the war and he continued to correspond with her, plus stayed with some of her English relatives in England throughout the war. They were married in Boston in 1946.She was a secretary/receptionist at The National Wildlife Federation in Boston. They moved to Provincetown to pursue his art teaching career and soon back to Boston area where he began teaching art in Brookline. They settled in Medfield in 1956 and had lived there ever since. Lois enjoyed gardening and raising cats, along with her children. Of her four children, Lois is survived by, Gregory Lamb of Holliston and Christine Lamb Toubeau of Franklin. Diane Lamb Wanucha and John (Jackie) C. Lamb both of Medfield are deceased. Grandchildren are Brooke and Lauren Toubeau formerly of Frankklin, Genevieve and Francesca Wanucha formerly of Medfield and Jessica and Danielle Lamb formerly of Holliston. Visiting hrs are Thurday March 15th from 4-7 at the Roberts Mitchell Caruso Funeral Home, 15 Miller St, Medfield. A funeral Mass will be held Friday March 16th, 10am at St. Edward the Confessor Church in Medfield followed by a burial at Vine Lake Cemetery in Medfield. Contributions may be made in her name at the Medfield animal Shelter.
